Fennel, Anise, refreshing licorice flavoured stalks, bulb, and flowery green are all edible.
Fennel is great raw, braised with tomatoes and onions, sauteed, baked, boiled, pureed, blends well with apples, celery or other crunchy ingredients or in light vinaigrette salads.

Wash in cold water.
Trim base and feathery tops from bulb.
Remove and discard core. Use whole, halved or sliced.
